![]() What is a Daymark?A lighthouse helps ships navigate through darkness, fog and storms. The bright beacon can be seen for miles. However it could be difficult to see this beacon on a bright day. Many lighthouses would burn a fire on calm days, and the column of smoke would help ships locate the lighthouse. However, there are not many calm days along the coast. So bold markings were painted on the lighthouse. These markings are called a daymark. During daylight hours this daymark is a reference that helps sea traffic track their correct location. Our Red and White logo is a Daymark that is used on the inland waterways. As Jesus is the Lighthouse to help you through the storm. We like to think of ourselves as a daymark to help you track your way in calmer times. | ||||||||
